SUSAN FUNK / ABOUT THE SONGS

Singer/songwriter and Christian recording artist Susan Funk captivated her first audience at age two, and continued to win contests and scholarships for vocal performance. She's appeared in musical theater, films and television and has to her credit numerous concert appearances including performances with show bands and full orchestras in the U.S.; and was a featured soloist in a tour of Handel's "Messiah" in Asia.

Susan followed her heart to Southern California, where she studied voice with renowned vocal coaches, Seth Riggs and Roger Love; and was signed to a recording contract with Nissi Records in Hollywood.

Her first album, "Just For You Lord" aired in the U.S., Europe and the Middle East via Christian Broadcasting. She also appeared on Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN) as a guest artist, and has been interviewed on Christian radio stations and in magazines for album releases.

The on-air radio personality, jingle artist and commercial actress has performed pop and Broadway music in popular Los Angeles venues, and has sung the National Anthem at major sporting events for the Mighty Ducks, the California Angels and at the Toyota Grand Prix in Long Beach, CA.

Susan wrote four songs on her Christmas CD, including the title song, "That's Why We Have A Christmas"; the single "It's Almost Like Being With You (All That Christmas Means to You); and all 14 tracks on her newest digital CD release - "Here In My Room (Unplugged)".

As a worship leader, she is passionate about pursuing intimacy with God.

The song "Here In My Room" was written with that intimacy with the Father in mind.

"I was going through a tough period and found that there was no one I could turn to, and nothing to do but rely on Him -- for everything," she says. "So I 'told' Him about it one night. And that's how the song came about. I put songs like 'Beautiful Jesus' , 'We Cry Holy', 'You're Still My Child (Mary's Song)', and others together on this CD to invite anyone who wants to listen in, that they might share in this intimate experience and cultivate their own."

Susan continues to write, record and perform her music and donates some of her proceeds to non-profit organizations.
